Under Canopies: collect an animal gift when inventory is full

Before you start

• Have actually earned an animal reward that cannot fit in inventory.
• Use the 0.6.25 behavior. This does not describe an unearned reward or a blueprint that has never been unlocked.

Look for the bag in front of you

Official 0.6.25 changes the full-inventory case: the gift is placed in a collectible bag in front of the player. Look there rather than keep waiting for repeated item drops.

Make room for the reward before collecting it with the game’s displayed manual interaction. The patch does not give one universal reward size or a pickup key, so neither is invented here.

Collect manually and check the reward

Automatic pickup now focuses on natural resources and chopping or mining drops. Bags, animal gifts, blueprints and placed loot require manual collection. An enabled resource filter does not override that distinction.

After collecting, check the reward in your inventory or its learned-recipe destination as appropriate to the reward. If you need to save before collection, the official note says the bag remains available after saving and loading; use the normal confirmed-save procedure.

• Check what Pickup Filter can collect — Automatic resource collection is different from manual bag and gift collection.
• Save without leaving gameplay — Wait for the saving confirmation rather than assume a click completed the save.

Separate an uncollected gift from an unfinished unlock

This change applies when a gift has been earned but cannot fit. It does not remove animal friendship requirements. For Iron Pan, the two-rabbit requirement is separately documented and receives clearer hints in the same update.

• Check the Iron Pan unlock requirement — Two completed rabbit friendships are different from having no space for an already earned gift.

If it does not work

Pickup Filter is enabled but the bag stays on the ground

Collect it manually. Bags and animal gifts are outside automatic pickup in 0.6.25.

There is still no room for the gift

Free suitable inventory space before trying again; the source does not establish a universal number of slots.

You have not completed the animal’s requirement

This bag rule only handles an earned gift that cannot fit. Follow the animal’s current progression instead of expecting a bag to grant an unfinished unlock.

How to know you are done

• You manually collect the earned gift and can find it in your inventory. A bag waiting on the ground means collection is still unfinished.
